Ok so me and Rosa have been going pretty insane lately with our obsession of how perfect the avatar and wicked crossover fits in story/name/character/everything wise, well of course there are some things that don't really make sense, but you get that with anything that you try to crossover with something else. So I’ve decided to document everything that we have come up with so that everyone can learn of our epic craziness.

okay first I'll start with the characters. I will state the character from Wicked and then describe the similarities they share with the avatar character that we chose to be them.

Elphaba- this one had to be someone with a physical attribute that is very noticeable and they have had trouble living with. they should also have some sort of nickname that contains the first part of their name. this person should also be working hard to work with someone in the future. they also should be hot tempered and "fly off the handle" at some point in the show. We must not also forget that they have to switch sides at some point in the show, claiming that something has changed "within them" and something is "not the same." they should also have been banished from their homeland. so unless you haven't guessed it already, we found Zuko to fit this perfectly.

Galinda-now that we had chosen this to be gender bending, we had to choose a guy that was very different from Zuko. they had to be popular and have almost everyone love them. they should also want to help people that are "less fortunate" than themselves. this person should also have their eye on someone but not reveal to obvious to that person that they like them. this person should also be very powerful and not as "limited" as Elphaba/Zuko they should also be less mature than him as well. So for Glinda we found that Aang was the perfect choice for the role.

Fiyero- Now Fiyero was pretty obvious to us who it should be, and you probably have already guessed who it is but here are other reasons that we chose them. Fiyero has to be someone who isn't afraid to speak their mind. they should also be very popular with the opposite sex and have several "admirers." This person should have moments with both Glinda/Aang and Elphaba/Zuko. Fiyero's character should also know that it is not possible for water to melt someone.(ok that’s not really a reason but it was fun to state) also Fiyero should become more mature as the story goes on. so now I am able to tell you that our Fiyero is ....Katara. (like I said everything isn't PERFECT, but you can't deny that they do have similarities)

NessaRose-Now NessaRose has to have a few characteristics that are kind of key. one they have to be related to Elphaba/Zuko. making this decision not that difficult, but there are some other similarities. one is that they should be favored by their Father and treated better than Elphie/ZuZu. they should also seem harmless in the beginning, but then go crazy later on in the story. So this easy decision was Azula, only in this she is a man(not that difficult to imagine I'm sure) again not perfect but she’s perfect for Nessa.

The Wizard- now how many people could possibly be the Wizard? the answer? not many. the Wizard has to be someone that the whole country listens to. someone who is like a king. they have to be cruel in some way in the end. and Elphaba/Zuko has to be working to get the Wizard to notice them. it had to be someone that they dreamed of getting praise from, and Elphie/Zuko finale does get it, realizes that its different than they expected. so this choice was easily decided to be Ozai.(also the wizard/Ozai is Elphaba/Zukos real father to boot)

Madame Morrible- For Madame Morrible we had choose someone that encountered both Galinda/Aang and Elphaba/Zuko. they should also use Elphaba/Zuko to get what they want(power). they should also be pretty evil, and they should receive higher positions at some point in the story. so we decided on General Zhao.

Dr. Dilamond- now this one actually came to us because the name fit in the song "No Good Deed." but that’s not the only reason. this person had to be someone that taught Elphaba/Zuko someone that they grew close to, especially in the beginning. they also had to know the real "bad" things that were going on in Oz/theFireNation/AvatarWorld. they should also preferably be old and wise. Something should also happen to this character that Elphaba/Zuko feels guilty for. So in the end Uncle Iroh won the spot.

Bock- now Bock was one of the few characters that was hard to choose. so we were only able to chose this character based on only a few things. the main, being that they had to be obsessed with Glinda/Aang and do anything for her/him. they should also realize that Galinda/Aang likes someone else. the only person that we could come up with for Bock was...Meng.(yeah, sad/weird I know)

Elphaba's Father- Now since we had to choose someone other that Ozai this was kind of difficult. It had to be someone who favored Nessa/Zula over Elphaba/Zuko. We chose, for my own amusement, Long Feng.

Elphaba's Mother- Should obviously be a mother figure. we should also know little about her and she should also have died/disappeared. there wasn't really much to look at to begin with, so we had to choose the obvious to be Elphaba/Zuko's mother, Ursa.

ok now that covers pretty much all the characters. well the important ones any way. we did assign other things too like Sokka singing "I hear his soul is so unclean, that water can melt him" just for fun. but okay now I'm going to go through the different songs and how they fit the characters/things that happen in Avatar.

"No One Mourns The Wicked"
Okay, this song doesn't really have much too look at. we start out with the people being glad that Elphaba/Zuko is dead. and then Galinda/Aang comes in saying how good conquered evil. no here is the first similarity in the song. everyone in Avatar always saw Zuko and pictured him as Evil, even when he started to do the right thing, as soon as they found out who he was, they believed him to be evil. they also sing about how no one is sad that they are gone. this also fits with Zukos story because he really doesn't have many people in the show(family) who miss him. I mean there are some people but the majority wouldn't care, the same as Elphaba. Next is the line "What we miss, when we misbehave." this fits into Zuko b/c zuko "misbehaved" in the War chamber and that is why he became what he is today. Next we have Glindas words to look at. 'And Goodness knows, The Wicked's lives are lonely, Goodness knows, The Wicked die alone, It just shows when you're Wicked, You're left only, On your own." Zuko was always "alone" after he was banished. He was alone most of his life, just like Elphaba. No one wanted to help him. now we have Galinda/Aang's spoken words "Are people born Wicked? Or do they have
Wickedness thrust upon them? After all, she had a father. She had a mother, as so many do." this is another point that Zuko wasn't born the way that he is today. there were certain situations thrust upon himself that made him how he is in the end. now we come to the line "And like every family - they had their secrets" now as it says every family has secrets, but only a few people in Avatar know how Zuko got his scar, or what happened to his mother. they have several family secrets that also add to how Zuko and Elphaba are. Now I'm going to skip some lines and move to where the Father says "Take it away, take it away!" I believe that both Zuko and Elphaba received a dislike from their fathers at a early time, despite the fact that Zuko didn't receive his scar until he was around 14. ok so that’s enough of "No One" for now, I might revisit this song in more detail in a line for line comparison some other day.

next we have " the wizard and I" b/c Dear old Shiz doesn't really tell us much besides that Glinda/Aang and Elphie/Zuko were friends. now in the wizard and I we have Elphie/Zuko singing about how they can meet the wizard if they make "good" and prove their worth. Zuko has to prove his worth in avatar by catching aang or killing him. then he can go meet the wizard/Ozai and join him in his tasks. This song also shows how Elphie/Zuko precieve the Wizard/Ozai as this perfect person that once your with them everything will be perfect and no one will look at just your physical atrabutes. now i just summerizd this one but maybe i'll do a line by line comparission someday.

our next song is "Loathing"
Now what is there to say about this song? well it basically is Glinda/Aang and Elphie/Zuko singing about how much they don't like each other and this basically follows avatar. and of course there is the verse where everyone is singing about how glinda/Aang is for living w/ Elphie/Zuko. and how they wouldn't have been able to. this shows how popular they are and how others see elphie/zuko. there isn't really anything else to say about this song for the moment.

"Something Bad"
we start to realize that not everything is all that good in the world and that Dilamond/Iroh know this. don't really feel like doing this song right now, I'll come back to it.

"Dancing Through Life"
